This election, we have sent an e-mail to all local candidates* with a single question to answer. The question was dependent on the role they are a candidate for. The roles we have sent questions to include: Mayor, Regional Councillor, and School Board Trustee (for WRDSB and WCDSB).

The questions we have sent to candidates this year are as follows:

Mayor - How can we ensure queer and trans folks feel safe and supported through municipal actions and initiatives?
Regional Councillor - What will you do, and what policies will you support, as a Regional Councilor to further inclusion and equity for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community?

Trustee - As a school board trustee, what actions will you take to ensure 2SLGBTQIA+ students and families are included and given the tools to thrive?

We sent out the initial e-mail asking the questions on September 14, asking for a response by September 28. We will provide the responses based on geography at this webpage. Tune in on or after September 28 to see the responses we've received.
